ALLIED RESOURCES FOR KIDS (ARK)

ALLIED RESOURCES FOR KIDS (ARK)

The primary mission of Allied Resources for Kids is to involve Camden students from grades Pre-K-12 in academic enrichment and extracurricular activities before school, after school, on the weekends, and during the summer increasing the amount of adult supervision each child receives, increasing and enabling students to develop reinforcing peer relationships.

Through these efforts, A.R.K. will develop a network of partners from the following sectors: secondary education, higher education, healthcare, grassroots organizations, and private industry to provide comprehensive quality programming for Camden’s youth.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

As the cost of college continues to rise annually far outstripping the median income for a typical Camden family, there is a great need among the students of this community to receive financial assistance in order to attend college. The ARK provides scholarships to cover incidental costs such as books, transportation, and computers that loans and grants do not provide. To date, the Ark has awarded over 200 scholarships to Camden Academy Charter High School graduates attending college.

1000+ SAT SCHOLARSHIP

Matches graduating seniors’ SAT scores in dollars if they are able to achieve a combined math and language arts score of more than 1000.

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP

All students who have a GPA above 2.5 and SAT score greater than 800 are eligible, upon application, to receive a $1000 or $500 scholarship.

CACHS BOARD OF TRUSTEE AWARD

A female and male, decided by the CACHS board of trustees to exemplify characteristics of a model student, are selected to receive a $2000 scholarship.

THE STEVE HRIZE AWARD

An award for $1500 to a student-athlete, as determined by their participation in sports and academic achievement, one female and one male are awarded, as determined by the ARK Board.
