School are assessed in a number of ways. These include
the New Jersey State Assessment for grades 5-8, the Terra
Nova, as well as teacher and publisher produced tests, skill
checklists, portfolios, and cumulative projects. All of these

Camden’s Promise Charter School incorporates
the Jostens Renaissance program as its motivational/ incentive

academics, and discipline. There are different levels of
membership relating to these key performance indicators.
Ranging from the lowest to the highest, students earn membership
into the following levels: white, burgundy, gold, and platinum.
As a significant extrinsic motivational piece, the school
provides an incentive based field trip for all student participants
who meet the stated benchmarks of the program.
