To assist parents with their after school child care needs, network schools offer after school programming to all students completely free of charge. During this time students may engage in a number of activities and are also served a hot, well-balanced dinner. After school programs vary by school. After school programs are offered until 6 p.m. for all Promise students. Programming includes Japanese writing, student government, chess and board games, Jiu Jitsu, CPR and first aid, recreational sports, and HSPA Prep. All programs, other than CACHS girls’ volleyball, are held at Camden’s Charter School Network’s main campus. For additional information click here.
After school programs are offered until 5:45 p.m. for all Promise students. Programming includes art, band, school newspaper, study hall, recreational sports and swimming. All programs are held at Camden’s Charter School Network’s main campus, excluding swimming. Students will be bused to the Downtown Academy campus (YMCA) for swimming at the conclusion of the school day. Students who participate in swimming must be picked up at the YMCA following the program since there is no bus back to the main campus. For additional information click here.
The After School program provides additional academic programming
and enrichment for the students from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Parents must have filled out a permission slip in order to stay for the program. Transportation is not provided for students staying in the after-school program. A parent and/or guardian must pick up non-bus riders. Middle School students are not allowed to pick up students. If a student is picked-up late 3 times, the student is no longer allowed to attend the after school program. “Late” is defined as after 4:10.
The After “After” School program is available for 3rd and 4th graders from 4 to 5 p.m. It is a NJASK skill builder and focuses on test preparation for the NJASK. An Additional permission slip is needed and the program does not begin until after the 2nd Marking Period. For additional information click here.
KATZ offers an optional extended day program from 3:15 to 4 p.m. This program is for Kindergarten students who are not 6 years of age. Transportation home is not provided for the students staying for either after school program. A parent and/or guardian must pick up non-bus riders. Middle School students are not allowed to pick up students. A light meal will be served during this program. For additional information click here.
